Most of my experience working has been on survey vessels from skippering, deck crew and doing science. I have worked offshore as a benthic ecologist for a few years too. Sailing wise I have been sailing since I was little on a Sadler 34, I then moved onto a Sadler 25 when I was at SAMS and lived out of Dunstaffnage Marina for 2 years sailing all along the west coast of Scotland. I have refitted my own and commercial vessels along with coding numerous vessels as I was the ships ops manager at SAMS for a few years.

I have dived all over the world for work, with most of my diving being conducted in a full face mask and drysuit in Antarctia for 18 months. I dive in Scotland reguarly. Most of my commercial dive work has been for scientific study.
